Sponsorship Application
The purpose of Manchester Tourism Commission (MTC) is to promote and develop recreational, convention, and tourist activities in the Manchester area of Clay County.
MTC will entertain requests for marketing, promotion, and sponsorship of projects designed to have an economic impact on the community by increasing overnight visitation for our motels and lodging, bringing revenue to our local restaurants and businesses, and providing additional exposure to the area. MTC will review and evaluate requests three times a year. The number and extent of these sponsorships will be dependent upon the discretion of the Commission.
MTC Application Process
- Applications for sponsorships can be obtained from the MTC webpage at manchesterkytourism.com or by visiting our office at 122 Town Square, Manchester, KY.
- Fully completed applications will be accepted for consideration three times a year: February 1st, June 1st, and October 1st. Applications should be submitted via our website manchesterkytourism.com.
- MTC will conduct a preliminary review, at which time the Commission will decide if the project is accepted for consideration. The applicant may be asked to clarify or modify the application. Acceptance of an application DOES NOT guarantee approval or full funding. If MTC is not the singular sponsor, please list all monetary or in-kind contributions of others on the application.

When the Commission makes their final decision on whether to award funds, the applicant will be notified by email or in writing the following week after the regular monthly meeting of MTC.
- For February submissions, notification will be in March
- For June submissions, notification will be in July
- For October submissions, notification will be in November

If sponsored, applicants MUST make an appointment with Director Tim Parks to plan and discuss marketing strategies.
- ALL printed material MUST include the Logo and full name of the Manchester Tourism Commission.
- ALL broadcast media promotions MUST mention MTC as providing support for the promotion.
- MTC sponsorships will ONLY be awarded for pre-approved expenses. Only those expenses incurred after the applicant receives official notice of the award from MTC are eligible for reimbursement.

A Project/Event Closure Report SHALL be submitted within 30 days following the event. Invoices and receipts must be included. Any unused MTC funds must be returned to MTC along with the Closure Report.
If the Closure Report is not submitted, the applicant MAY NOT apply for any future funding.
