Legends Hall — Clay County Basketball Museum

Opening Hours: Legends Hall, the Clay County Basketball Museum located inside the Bobby Keith Gymnasium, is open to visitors on game days

Step into the heart of Tiger basketball history at Legends Hall, the newly opened museum at Clay County High School, dedicated to honoring the storied legacy of both the boys’ and girls’ basketball programs.

A Legacy on Display

Opened on December 1, 2024, Legends Hall brings to life over a century of local high school hoops history in a self-guided exhibit full of passion and pride.

Visitors are greeted by a striking 15-foot statue of legendary coach Bobby Keith, set within the entrance of the Bob Keith Gymnasium. From there, display cases organized by decade, along with “Tiger Tales,” guide you through key moments, players, and triumphs that have shaped Clay County’s basketball dominance.

Why It's a Must-See

  • Celebrate a Winning Tradition: Clay County is the only high school in Kentucky with more than 2,000 boys’ wins and 1,000 girls’ wins, a testament to its rich basketball heritage.

  • Richly Curated Storytelling: The museum was developed over 12–14 months in collaboration with the school board, the Clay County Historical Society, and designers from Kraemer Design, resulting in a thoughtful, immersive experience.

  • Connect with Legends: Interactive displays, personal stories, and classic artifacts bring the legends of Clay County basketball to life, from hardwood heroes to unforgettable games.
