Goose Creek Swinging Bridge crosses Goose Creek linking the Riverside Trail to downtown Manchester. It is passable by foot traffic and used often to shorten the distance to downtown Manchester.
You can access the Goose Creek Swinging Bridge from Lyttleton Road with parking available. It was originally constructed after the initial wagon bridge was destroyed by flood waters. It is very unique in design and historical significance. It was recently restored by a local volunteer non-profit, Stay in Clay, and was the launching pad for Clay County to become the “Land of Swinging Bridges.”
